Police said that while they were arguing, the girl walked toward the man and hit his passenger-side door.

The man then pulled out his gun, because he was afraid for his safety and waved it at the girl as a warning, police reported.

The woman who owned the bike yelled at the man to leave the bike, but he did not respond, police said.

The woman’s boyfriend then began chasing them, according to the report.

Police reported the woman rode off on the bike and the man ran in the opposite direction.

The woman’s boyfriend caught up to the man just as he drove away in a car with the unidentified woman, police said.

They were able to take down the license plate of the car, and police later found them, according to the report.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, police reported.
