ASU outscored Utah 13-0 in the fourth quarter to pull off the comeback and beat Utah 20-19 to maintain their one-game lead in the Pac-12 South.
Like the Sun Devils (7-2, 5-1 Pac-12) did on the first drive of the first half, the Utes (4-5, 1-5) scored on the first drive of the second half.
The Utes drove eight plays and sophomore kicker Andy Phillips hit his second field goal of the game, this one from 43 yards, to give the Utes a 12-7 lead.
Neither the Sun Devils nor the Utes get anything rolling on offense after, combining for 16 total yards over the next three drives.
The Utes finally broke into the end zone on their third drive of the half.
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Travis Wilson completed a 55-yard pass to Dres Anderson then two plays later hit senior receiver Sean Fitzgerald for a 12-yard strike to extend the Utes lead to 19-7.
The Sun Devils struck back two drives later, going 70 yards in 1:39, finished off by redshirt junior quarterback Taylor Kelly's second rushing touchdown of the day to make it 19-14 Utes.
The Utes refused to put the Sun Devils away and the Sun Devils capitalized.
Kelly and senior running back Marion Grice drove the Sun Devils down the field late in the fourth quarter, capped off by a 14-yard Kelly touchdown pass to sophomore receiver Rick Smith to make it 20-19.
The Sun Devils were unable to convert on the two-point attempt, but it was all they needed.
Senior cornerback Robert Nelson picked off Wilson on the Utes next drive, essentially ending the game.
Utah had one more chance to come back, but Wilson was picked off once more, this time by Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year Will Sutton.
