By Dominick DiFurio | Multimedia Reporter

Saturday November 9th the 13th annual Veterans Day Powwow was held at Arizona State University's West Campus.

The scene was set by the ring of clans that gathered with drums around dancers. The Powwow lasted nearly 10 hours and honored not only Native American military veterans, but all veterans.

Master of Ceremonies Chuck Benson said the attendance at the Veterans Day Powwow continues to grow every year. He said that Native Americans should feel proud and celebrate the fact that they are still around and protecting the land that once belonged to them.
