The ASU men's basketball team has ended its relationship with a recruit who was arrested last week.

Jordan Washington, a sophomore forward at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, was charged with robbery after stealing two DVDs, which would have totaled $17.84, on Thursday night.

The program parted ways with Washington after he was charged with fifth degree theft on Monday.

Indian Hills has since suspended Washington while the school completes its own investigation. The school released the following statement on the incident:

"The Indian Hills administration and coaching staff are aware of Jordan's arrest. He has been suspended from basketball activities until the matter is resolved. We are still in the process of gathering facts ourselves and we know the legal system will need to process his case. When that is finished, a decision will be made as to the discipline Jordan will receive."

Washington committed to coming to ASU on Sept. 5 while on his official visit to Tempe. He averaged 9.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in 2013-14 and was set to join ASU for the 2015-16 season.
