Bravo to Bernie Sanders for entering the Democratic presidential primary for 2016. No matter what you think of his politics, it’s good Hillary Clinton won’t be running unopposed.
Boo to the 115-mph line drive that hit Diamondbacks pitcher Archie Bradley on Tuesday night. We’re glad he’s OK, and we wish him the best in his recovery.
Bravo to ESPN's Shelley Smith for making her return to television this week for the first time since taking a leave to receive treatment for cancer. Smith made the bold move of going on the air without a wig and is now taking part of ESPN's draft coverage.
Boo to the cancellation of the BB Run. The event, which has occurred every spring since 2008, would have happened this Friday, but it did not obtain the necessary funding from USG and was cancelled.
Bravo to students in the class of 2015. After many exams, lectures and long nights, you will all have physical proof to show your hard work has paid off. Congratulations and best wishes for the future!
Boo to the Nepal earthquake, which has killed at least 5,800 people and injured twice as many. This is a terrible tragedy, and our hearts go out to all the affected Nepali people. The New York Times has posted a list of groups accepting donations for relief efforts.
Boo to Floyd Mayweather for being allowed to bring his testosterone-fueled rage to the boxing ring this weekend even after being convicted for beating women on five separate occasions. Our country definitely doesn't have its priorities together when it comes to who we should look up as athletic celebrities.
Bravo to Texas State undergraduate Monika Rostvold for standing up, or in her case sitting, against sexual assault nearly nude as a part of her art project. Police who arrived at the scene declared her 45-minute demonstration as legal. The reactions to the demonstration ranged from shock, with one student draping her clothes over her, to supportive. Her project has also inspired the creation of "Survivors at Texas State," a Facebook page where women can find support.
Bravo to nytimes.cat, where all the images from the New York Times are replaced with cat GIFs. With finals this week on the horizon, there's never a moment where adorable cats aren't appreciated.
