7 times this Michael Crow parody Twitter won life

Michael Crow may be the University head honcho, but he's really just ASU's dad.

ASU President Michael Crow has a big job. He’s supposed to run the University and be the public face of a sprawling campus. That doesn’t mean he can’t have a little fun now and then.

The Twitter account bearing his name is a case in point. Well, it’s not actually Crow’s Twitter, but @asumichael is a parody account inspired by our fearless leader.

The account provides an over-the-top voice to go with the face we see in back-to-school videos and a name we hear whispered across campus.

Here are seven times ASU students could totally relate to the University President, even if it was through a parody Twitter account.

1. When @asumichael struggled to find the balance between saving and spending M&G

The only difference is that he can have as much M&G as he wants, while the rest of us are either incredibly hungry or buying food for everyone by the time the end of the year rolls around.

2. When @asumichael was scared of the bee invasion, too

Last spring the bees took over campus, and quickly became a talking point for students. Whether or not it was blown out of proportion or actually scared students, we can’t be sure, but our fearless leader had some innovative ways to counter the issue.

3. When we realized everyone gets sad sometimes

If you think studying for classes is hard, try being in charge of the University.

4. When the New American University seemed a bit more understandable

Can we get someone to make this the new motto for ASU and the New American University we hear so much about? It might be a bit more exciting than speeches and articles on it.

5. When @asumichael forgot to go home after an intense study session

We’ve all been there. You’re studying for exams at 10 p.m. and suddenly it’s tomorrow. Michael Crow feels that pain, too.

6. When @asumichael became ASU’s dad

Michael Crow becomes a much more relatable figure when we think about him as the University’s dad. He may talk a big game and try to send us to our room, but we hope he just has our best interests in mind.

7. When he was just as excited to go back to school as we are

After a relatively dismal summer, @asumichael is just as excited to see his Sun Devils back in class and ready for a great new semester.
