Tempe Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:

A 37-year-old Tempe man was arrested Aug. 26 on the 700 block of Brown Street on suspicion of marijuana, dangerous drug possession and paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.

Officers were called to an apartment complex’s laundry room by residents who had noticed a suspicious person, police reported. When they arrived, officers heard rustling from inside the room, according to the report.

Officers found the man and another person in the laundry room, police reported. The man told officers they had been having sex, but they did not live in the apartment complex, according to the report.

The man had a backpack with him, which officers searched and found meth, hypodermic needles and marijuana, according to the report.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and released on pending drug charges, police reported.

A 20-year-old Gilbert woman was arrested Aug. 26 at the intersection of South Price Road and East Broadway Road on suspicion of narcotic drug and paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.

The woman had been riding in a car that was stopped for a traffic violation, and two other people in the car had been found with drugs, police reported.

Officers found a pipe that had been used to smoke black tar heroin in the car, according to the report.

A female officer searched the woman, and the woman told her she was hiding heroin in her underwear, police reported.

The woman was transported to Tempe City Jail, where she was booked and held to see a judge.
