Hannah Henry and Audrey Ernst finished in the top 25 in the Junior Elite World Championships held in Australia. Henry and Ernst were the only athletes from Arizona State's team to participate in the run.

Both Henry and Ernst started the race slow. Henry finished the swim portion in 29th and Ernst finished in 42nd, but both quickly made up ground. Henry finished the bike portion in 15th and Ernst finished in 25th. Both were able to advance further up the leaderboard during the running portion of the race, solidifying their final finishing positions.

The team's next competition was set to be the Central Regional Qualifier in Watauga, Tennessee on Sunday, but the festivities were cancelled due to the effects of Hurricane Florence.

The Sun Devils will start back up with their next competition on Sep. 23 in the West Regional Qualifier in Longmont, Colorado.
