A season-best hitting day propelled ASU volleyball (13-8, 5-5 Pac-12) to a sweep against Oregon State Sunday (25-21, 25-21, 25-20).
Senior outside hitter Jada Burse and junior middle blocker Megan Beedie led the Sun Devils with nine kills each.
Senior outside hitter Ivana Jeremic added eight kills and eight digs for ASU.
Both teams played the first set neck and neck, with both teams trading 3-0 runs. A pair of kills from Burse and another from junior outside hitter Claire Kovensky pushed the team to capture the first point.
ASU got off to a hot start in the second set, ripping off a 4-0 burst early to give the team an early cushion. Despite Oregon State fighting back, including a late 3-0 run, ASU held on to win the second set.
The Sun Devils created a large advantage early in the third set, including runs of 3-0 and 4-0, respectively. Beedie exploded for three straight points in the 4-0 surge, including two kills and a block.
The Beavers came back with a 7-1 run to bring the set to 21-19. But the Sun Devils put together a 3-0 run to close the set and the match.
ASU hit a season-high 34% in the match, as well as assisting on 75% on all points.
Head coach Sanja Tomasevic said she was pleased with the performance her team put out, especially offensively.
"We pretty much took care of business," Tomasevic said. "The challenge was, 'let's show up and see what happens.' And we showed up."
Burse said momentum is building for the team, especially after two character-building wins against Washington State and Oregon.
"I'm really excited where this team is going," Burse said. "We have so much more to give too. I think we're constantly on the uprise."
The three-game conference win streak is the team's first since Sept. 30 of last season.
ASU will face off against Utah next in Salt Lake City Friday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. MST.
