ASU redshirt senior offensive lineman Roy Hemsley (63) celebrates with the Territorial Cup on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. The Sun Devils defeated the Wildcats 24-14.

One week after upsetting No. 6 Oregon, ASU football followed up that performance with a 24-14 victory over UA on Saturday night in Tempe.

Despite being outgained by the Wildcats, the Sun Devils capitalized on three UA turnovers and ended the regular season with seven wins, matching last season's total.

ASU heavily relied on its rushing attack as junior running back Eno Benjamin gained 168 yards on 34 carries and scored two touchdowns. Freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels, who had a quiet night through the air, added 62 yards on the ground.

Outside of an 11-play, 75-yard touchdown drive on its opening possession of the second half, ASU struggled to sustain consistent drives. In the first half, the Sun Devils were 1-7 on third down, along with a failed 4th-and-12 attempt.

The offense received a boost from redshirt sophomore kicker Cristian Zendejas, who converted on three field goals.

UA senior quarterback Khalil Tate threw for 228 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions, including two by ASU redshirt junior defensive back Jack Jones, who also registered six tackles.

Junior defensive back Evan Fields posted a team-high 10 tackles.

The Territorial Cup win marks ASU's third straight over UA. Now, the Sun Devils await which bowl game they will be awarded, which will be decided on Sunday Dec. 8.
