Tempe PD said it is currently investigating a potential shooting outside the El Paisano Market, commonly known as El P's, near 1031 E. Lemon St.
Earlier this afternoon, at 3:15 p.m., police said officers responded to a call of an adult man who sustained a gunshot wound to the face outside of El P's, according to Tempe PD. The man was "conscious and alert" when police arrived at the scene but could not speak. The man was taken to a nearby hospital.
Officers are still investigating the shooting and the events leading up to the situation, according to Tempe PD.
