Goodbye Sun Devil Sync and hello Sun Devil Central

With the departure of the old platform comes a new interface

"The new platform is already available for students to go ahead and begin registering their club. It is advised to download everything off of Sun Devil Sync, as it will be unavailable for access beginning in mid-May."

Sun Devil Sync is disappearing on May 15 for all students at ASU. Clubs and organizations are left to transition over to the new student engagement platform, Sun Devil Central, for the upcoming 2025-26 school year.

Training sessions focused on navigating the new platform for officers of clubs were held every Tuesday in the Memorial Union, both in-person and on Zoom. The new Sun Devil Central platform has already been released, and can be found by going to Student Organizations and Leadership website and clicking Sun Devil Central.

Bekah Vale, a junior studying entrepreneurial leadership, is the vice president for the Hope Church Movement at ASU. Sun Devil Sync has helped their group plan events and send out important reminders, Vale said.

"It actually seems a lot more simple than Sun Devil Sync, so I think it'll be very intuitive," Vale said. "Makes it really easy to schedule events and even make it more clear for members of the clubs to be able to attend things."

The new platform is already available for students to go ahead and begin registering their club. It is advised to download everything off of Sun Devil Sync, as it will be unavailable for access beginning in mid-May.

Elizabeth Terry is a junior studying mathematics and the treasurer for No Missing Pieces at Barrett, a board games club.

"The training sessions are useful," Terry said. "It will be interesting to see where the new platform goes next."

With all these changes, some may find it easy to get the names confused between the two platforms. However, with the new look and straightforward method for club registration, it will serve as a more accessible option for clubs.

With this new platform, it is also noted to review the new handbook for clubs registering for the next academic year.

Although training sessions are officially over, the new platform is relatively simple to get started on. It is highly recommended all students go ahead and make an account on Sun Devil Central by logging in to the homepage. Once registered, the club profile and officers and advisors can be added with ease. The new officer training will automatically be sent to those that are registered to be officers.
