The State Press published its eighth update to its ASU salary database. The update includes the reported salaries and positions of over 19,500 University employees in 2024. These employees include deans, professors, coaches, academic advisors, marketing strategists, leaders of ASU's enterprises and more.

Since 2017, we have published updates to the database to provide transparency on how much employees make at ASU. The data is a public record obtained each year from the University, but the database and any subsequent analysis and reporting is originally created by staff members at The State Press.

We use this data to help drive our coverage on possible pay gaps, salary increases, analyses on contract extensions and other topics. We aim to use this database to find more stories based on pay that affect members of the ASU community, and to provide community members with the opportunity to investigate the data themselves.

We aim to cover stories that serve our wide and ever-changing University audience and bring to light topics that are of high impact. Submit any questions, concerns or trends you see within the database by using the Google Form below. You can also email us at execed.statepress@gmail.com with any questions about the database's content, the methods we use to publish the data or a request for a correction.

Executive editor Katrina Michalak contributed to the reporting of this article. The original database code was created by Chuck Dries and James Quigley. The coding update for this year was completed by Katrina Michalak and Chuck Dries.
