ASU associate professor at the School of Life Sciences, takes time to visit the Phoenix Zoo with members of her extended family that recently moved to Haydel's home from New Orleans. After receiving free tickets from the relief shelter in Phoenix, Haydel and some of her ASU colleagues spent the day with Haydel's extended family. Among the group visiting the zoo: 6-year-old Jamar Spencer made friends with Zana Essmyer, 5 (striped shirt and white shorts), a daughter of one of Haydel's colleagues.
