Commentary: Mike Leake always a fighter

Leake is the kind of guy who stored all the moments of perceived disrespect into some kind of mental incinerator. Schoolyard slights were renewable ruminations to be set ablaze over and over.

Unable to cool the hot bats of Washington State or take advantage of opportunities at the plate, the No. 1 ASU baseball dropped its first series of the season after falling to the Cougars 9-5 on Sunday in chilly Pullman, Wash.
