Faux-Chella to liven up ASU music scene

TurboVote activates student voters

Through the College of Public Programs, students are developing a new initiative with the goal of registering more ASU students to vote and getting them to their assigned polling place through services offered by TurboVote.

Searching for a sea change

Today, Professor Susanne Neuer, 50, is an oceanographer at ASU. Now she’s focusing her research on climate change. Through funding from National Science Foundation (NSF) and the School of Life Sciences at ASU, Neuer hopes to gain an increased understanding of the role and fate of oceanic phytoplankton in a changing climate.

EVOKE-ing innovation

While EVOKE may not necessarily contain fancy gadgets or booby traps, the game creators hope players will feel motivated to help better the world.

Concussion consciousness

Hope for a Cure

ASU has been taking steps to educate students on the biology behind HIV/AIDS and the social stigma that still surrounds the disease in the form of a class, MIC 314. One ASU professor, who has taught MIC 314 for many years, has created a vaccine to protect against HIV. The vaccine will possibly undergo human clinical trials in 2015.
