ASU redshirt senior safety Jordan Simone's journey has been unorthodox.

After walking on at Washington State, he elected to follow former defensive coordinator Chris Ball as he took a job under head coach Todd Graham at ASU.

After transferring, redshirting a season and eventually earning a scholarship, Simone became the Sun Devils' second-leading tackler last season and enters 2015 as a senior captain.

In the latest video of Sun Devil Athletics' "Countdown to Kickoff" series, Simone talked about his transition and relationship with Ball in "The Family."
