An Arizona man was arrested on Oct. 3 on the 900 block of Smiley Avenue on suspicion of disorderly conduct and aggravated assault, according to a report.

Officers were called to the scene after the suspect threw beer cans at party goers on the street, police reported. While he was being transported to Tempe City Jail, the man fell asleep in the back of the car, according to the report.

When officers tried to wake him, the man sat up, yelled obscenities at one of the officers, and spit on one of the officers, police reported.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.
