The No. 2 ASU baseball team is sweeping through opponents and the rankings, and two Sun Devils have now swept the Pac-10 player of the week honors.

The Sun Devils (21-1) moved up two spots in the polls after a 4-0 week.

Juniors Jeremy West and Ryan Schroyer have been named the Pac-10 player and pitcher of the week after dominating performances last week.

West hit three home runs and had 10 RBI during ASU victories against Gonzaga, Dayton and Notre Dame. He had a grand slam and six RBI against the Irish on Saturday and blasted a two-run shot Sunday to boost ASU to a come-from-behind win over the Irish.

The designated hitter also scored six runs over the weekend and posted a .556 batting average.

The Irish also had trouble against Schroyer as the junior posted his fourth save of the season Sunday. The right-hander from Casa Grande pitched four scoreless innings in relief and is now sixth all-time in the ASU record books for career saves (12).

Schroyer has yet to allow a run this season and has tallied 18 strikeouts in 13.1 innings of work.

The weekly honor is the first of Schroyer's career and the third for West. ASU senior Jered Liebeck has also earned the award earlier this season.
