SPM Acoustics: Noma at Night

It's time to embrace it, Arizona: the local music scene is practically overflowing with talent. Noma (a duo from Tucson) is proof of that local gold mine, and then some. The band paid a visit to our set, bringing with them all the tools needed for wherever the night would take them — including bells, a didgeridoo and a ceramic statue named Grape Man.

Siblings Noah and Emma Harkey aren't in it for the fame or fortune — they genuinely love making music. More importantly, they've got the talent to back it up. Maybe it's because they've got that sibling bond, but the two are perfectly in sync, playing off each others' sound and effortlessly moving from instrument to instrument. Noma's songs are refreshing, complex and their live performance mesmerizing.

So grab a blanket and some candles and take a seat on the grass for Noma's light, improvisational set. Keep an eye out for their upcoming shows and hear more from the duo on their MySpace.
