As a college freshman, it is essential to have my daily dose of coffee in order to function. This time of year is especially the best to break away from my usual grande caramel macchiato and start my days with a coffee shop's specialty seasonal drinks.
Starbucks is by far the best coffee shop for seasonal drinks. Starbucks starts with fall-like drinks, with pumpkin and Thanksgiving flavors, then makes its way to winter drinks with the taste of Christmas in every sip. The pumpkin spice and gingerbread lattes are basically like drinking an entire cup of holiday fun. As corny as that might sound, it is definitely an entire experience of its own. Starbucks prepares its customers for Christmas before it is even December, or better yet Thanksgiving. With their red and white wintery cups, Starbucks offers the Christmas/winter feeling in the peppermint mocha, peppermint white chocolate mocha, toffee nut latte, dark cherry mocha and gingerbread latte.
Starbucks even offers a holiday cold cup for those customers that want to have that seasonal feeling all year long. If you are more into brewing up your own holiday fun, Starbucks sells an entire collection of Christmas Blends, and they even carry one Thanksgiving Blend. Starbucks definitely has their brew together when it comes to seasonal drinks.
Now, we can’t forget about the other infamous coffee place known as Dunkin’ Donuts. Dunkin’ also has its share of seasonal drinks that will have you going crazy. The array includes pumpkin spice, mocha mint, and vanilla nut; “You’d be nuts not to try our rich, creamy vanilla hazelnut blend,” as proclaimed on Dunkin’ Donuts’ website. Dunkin’s seasonal drinks are offered for a limited time only so make sure to stop by and drink up some holiday goodness.
If you are a fan of Coffee-mate, your taste buds will be sure to thank you with their new selection of seasonal drinks, available in nearly every grocery store. Coffee-mate starts the seasons off with a caramel apple flavor, then comes the eggnog latte, gingerbread latte, peppermint mocha and finally, the sugar and spice drink. With Coffee-mate drinks, you can have the whole seasonal drink experience right in the comfort of your own home
There is something about the combination of peppermint and chocolate, or pumpkin and cinnamon, that is pure holiday genius. So, whether you are planning on staying up late or just need something to help start your day, I highly recommend making the experience more worthwhile with a seasonal coffee drink.
