SUPPORT YOUR FRIEND

A thoughtful and well-written op editorial on changing definitions of "manly.” The thing that actually surprised me most was what appears to have been your friend's apparent acquiescence in the barista's summary judgment that the caffé bedouin (whatever that is) was too "manly" for her.

You don't seem to have supported her much, either. Boy, I would have hoped for some more self-assertion in this battle to transcend those perception boundaries! Good luck on all that.
