They say first impressions can tell you a lot about someone. What they say, how they talk, or their mannerisms can either turn you off or make you suddenly wish they were your friend. Although their “hello” is influential, chances are you’ve already developed an entire opinion about that person’s character based on their outfit.

What you wear is you’re way of telling the world who you are as a person.  Regardless of whether you care about fashion or not, what you put on in the morning broadcasts your personality for all to see.

Look at your friends. You all look alike, and why? Because you all have similar interests, personalities, and hobbies. Maybe you’re the kid who talks about how great last year’s Coachella was so your rock flower headbands and fringe or maybe you all like anime which causes you to sport Pokemon graphic tees.  Whatever the situation or whoever you are, just know what you wear does matter, whether you want it to or not. (Yes boys, even for you.)

So who will you be this year? Think about what you wear this next week and how it reflects you as an individual. Consider how your peers, teachers, or possibly future employers see you as a person before you even open your mouth. Are you going to bust out your motorcycle boots and Gun n Roses band tee or grace people with lace, floral prints, and a vintage pair of Mary Jane’s?  I guess we’ll all find out at school… Whatever your impression, make it a good one and make it you!
