Hello, new readers! My name is Mackenzie and I will be your humble television entertainment blogger. First, I’ll tell you a little about myself (since you asked so kindly). I’m a journalism major (yes, I will correct your grammar), I have an unhealthy obsession with anything related to the United Kingdom, and sometimes I consider myself to be a crazy cat-lady. Also, I’m very excited to write for State Press Magazine — this is my first time, so don’t be too hard on me!

You can expect a variety of different things as the semester unfolds. Next week, we’ll discuss “The Jersey Shore” and what the new season has to offer. However, in general, I’ll cover any series with a cult following. Shows such as "True Blood," "Pretty Little Liars," "gLee," and "Dexter" are to be recapped and discussed in the blog. We’ll split it up one show per week so as to cover as much information as possible! Shows I’m personally looking forward to are "Modern Family" (where Benjamin Bratt will be returning for a spot in the third season), "Dexter" (when will his sister find out about his recreational activities?!), and "Parks and Recreation" (I live my life according to Ron Swanson).

Also, we’ll be doing something fun on this page every week: If you send in a picture of your dorm or apartment decorated with your favorite show poster or shirt, you could be our featured fan of the week! It doesn’t have to be a specific show either. Let’s see what ASU is Spark’d about!

Let me know what cult show you're following at mlkelle3@asu.edu.
