My latest blog obsession comes to you in the form of A Beautiful Mess, although the blog is anything but a mess.  If a mess is something that is this wonderful, than I want everything to be a mess.  But in all seriousness, I’m awarding an extraordinary amount of credit to Elsie Larson, designer, boutique owner, and blogger, for sharing all her style, DIY, photography, food, décor and beauty tips with the online world.

Elsie doesn’t just do this blog by herself.  It has become such a production that she has help from Emma Chapman (the recipe editor), Rachel Denbow (the décor editor), Katie Shelton (beauty contributor), Kinsey Mhire (DIY contributor), and Amanda Keith (another DIY contributor).  All of these individuals come together to make one awesome blog.

A Beautiful Mess features so many great projects, from baking masterpieces such as home-made peanut butter cups to various must-try hair styles to DIY canvas photo transfer projects. I honestly have yet to find something on this blog that I don’t want to try at some point.  As a crafter, I am very much drawn to the DIY section of the blog, which houses so many great ideas I can’t even begin to choose.  I have already tried the DIY canvas photo transfer, and can’t wait to get my hands on some of the other projects.  But what makes this blog so great is that the writers really cater to so many different interests.  Everyone will find something worthwhile.

Elsie is especially inspirational in all that she does with this blog, as well as co-running her own boutique store and designing her own clothes for her store, Red Velvet.  Rachel and Emma both helped start the boutique in 2002.  Their team, along with a new addition in 2009, Holly, all work together with independent designers around the globe to keep Red Velvet moving forward.

As a blogger, a lover of all things DIY, fashion, food, and basically anything you make with your hands, I say everyone needs take a look at what all of these amazing women have accomplished with A Beautiful Mess and beyond.  I truly find it inspiring.
