Between pumpkin carving, haunted houses, scary movies and caramel apples, can you believe Halloween is only four days away? Me neither. I have no idea where the time has gone.

You are probably trying to find last minutes costumes and throw plans together for All Hallows Eve. Whether your plans are to dance the monster mash this weekend or get into some Halloween mischief, I hope they involve some sort of costume.

For those of you don’t have a costume yet zombie make-up is the answer for you. Or maybe you already have a costume, but want to spice it up and make it more morbid, zombie make-up is the answer for you too. Something about looking like the living dead is exciting and will make heads turn.

But how do you create this zombie book you may ask. I invited my friend Ali Jade over so I could experiment and put together a DIY zombie make up guide for all of you. Here is my journey into making Ali look like she is apart of the living dead and some tips and tricks I learned along the way.

What you you will need: White cinema make up (You can find at a costume shop, beauty supply store, or target) Purple or red eye shadow Fake blood Make-up brushes and sponges Q-tips

Step 1: Start by applying a pale base with make-up sponges. Apply to face and neck if you wish. Just make sure you blend it so it looks somewhat natural.

Step 2: Take the purple or red eye shadow to add color to the cheekbones and temples. You can also add marks to make the collar bone appear as if it is exposed.

Step 3: Use the eye shadow to make dark circles around the eyes. You can go as far up as the eyebrows.

Step 4: Next use the fake blood to make scar like marks around the face.

Step 5: Now its time for final touches. Decide what type of zombie you’re going to be. Add some glam with cat eye eyeliner, or be tough with more bruises using the purple eye shadow. Have some fun with it.
