Sun Devil Street Wear: MIM Rocks Fashion Show

The world of fashion seems to only be associated with places like New York City and London, but in reality, it's right outside our door. For Phoenicians, fashion has become a large part of the city's identity with the help of Phoenix Fashion Week.

Phoenix Fashion Week hosts its annual fall fashion week every October, however in the spring the stylist team brings the valley's fashion lovers a vibrant, exciting runway show at the Musical Instrument Museum in Scottsdale. This year the MIM Rocks Fashion Show runway will showcase spring fashion trends from five designers and stylists.

Here is a preview of the designers and stylists who will rock the runway this Friday:

Bri Seeley (designer from Seattle, WA) Styled by Brian Swan. Contemporary women's styles using unique and detailed fabrics embracing the inner spirit of women.

ENVY by Kanh (designer from Arizona and ASU Alumni) Styled by Fawn Cheng. Bold, asymmetric women's fashion that creates a dichotomy between traditional femininity and the modern woman.

Clothes Minded (Arizona clothes company) Styled by Rochelle York. Fashion from brands including Shawl Dawls, BB Dakota and Ella Moss.

Amir's La Voute (vintage shop in Downtown Phoenix) Styled by the owner himself, Amir Saebi. Men's styles inspired by 1950s/60s European fashion.

Divaz Boutique (boutique located around Phoenix) Styled by Yeka Bruner. Bright and edgy women's fashion that strives to provide customers with affordable and classy styles

The 2013 designer line up for the MIM Rocks Fashion Show will definitely make for an exciting show this year. The doors open at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 29 at the Musical Instrument Museum and the show begins at 8:30 p.m. If you haven't secured your tickets, better get them as soon as possible, because they sell out quickly.
