Chairs stolen from Memorial Union

ASU police reported the following incidents Monday:

Between March 15 and March 23, three chairs were stolen from the 300 block of East Orange Mall, according to a police report.

The chairs were taken from the Memorial Union's third floor open lounge, police reported.

MU staff did not report the incident immediately, because they said they believed the chairs were just misplaced, according to the report.

The chairs were metal, had red cloth inserts and were painted grey, according to police.

Each chair was worth $250, and the estimated loss is $700, police reported.

Staff said they would forward any available footage to the police but are uncertain if there are any surveillance devices present in the lounge, according to the report.

There are no suspects or leads, police reported.

A Mesa man was arrested early Tuesday morning at South College Avenue and East Veterans Way on suspicion of violating a driver’s license restriction, according to a police report.

Police stopped the man because he was driving the wrong way, according to police.

The man told police, “You’ve got me there,” according to the report.

The man's driver's license had a restriction, because he needed to correct the lenses for his glasses and contacts, according to police.

The man was not wearing glasses or contact lenses, police reported.

He was cited and released, police reported.
