University Drive between College and McAllister avenues will remain restricted to one-lane traffic each way because of construction until after school ends, a city of Tempe spokeswoman said.
Amanda Nelson said the construction is part of a larger waterline and metering repair project that will continue through October 2013. The section of University Drive will remain restricted until May 13.
This construction will eventually replace water meters on Mill Avenue and Rural Road between Apache Boulevard and University Drive, and Apache Boulevard and University Drive between Mill Avenue and Rural Road, Nelson said.
It will also replace a water pipeline on Rural Road between Apache Boulevard and University Drive.
