Tempe Police reported the following incidents Tuesday:

  • A 27-year-old Scottsdale woman was arrested June 11 at her home on suspicion of aggravated assault, criminal damage, residential trespassing and disorderly conduct, according to a police report.

The woman called her ex-boyfriend to tell him she was coming to his Tempe apartment to confront his new girlfriend and, upon arriving, began standing in the man’s driveway and yelling very loudly, according to the report.

When the man came out and attempted to call police, the suspect knocked his iPhone to the ground, causing the screen to shatter, according to police.

The woman then kicked the man in the groin several times as he continued to try and get her to leave, according to the report.

The woman pretended to leave, but instead snuck inside the residence through an unlocked back door, according to the report.

Once inside, the woman assaulted the man’s girlfriend, grabbing her by the throat and shoving her against the wall, according to the report.

The man broke the victim’s iPhone in the assault and fled the scene shortly after, but she was detained by police at her apartment later that evening, according to the report.

She was transported to Tempe City Jail where she was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.

  • A 37-year-old Mesa man was arrested June 11 on the 900 block of East Playa Del Norte Drive on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of dangerous drugs for sale and use, according to a police report.

The cleaning staff at Aloft apartments entered the suspect’s room while he was gone and observed a Tupperware container with a crystal-like substance inside, according to the report.

The cleaning staff contacted property management who took a photo of the Tupperware and called the police, according to the report.

While police were investigating the scene, the man returned and admitted the substance was methamphetamine and belonged to him, according to the report.

He took responsibility for everything in the room and was arrested and sent to Tempe City Jail, according to the report.

The man was searched when he arrived at the jail and was found to be in possession of a small baggie, which tested positive as methamphetamine, according to police.

A search warrant was served at the apartment and the Tupperware was seized as it contained 80 grams of methamphetamine, according to police.

Also located in the apartment was a green balloon containing one gram of heroin, several syringes and multiple spoons with heroin residue, according to the report.

The man was transported to Tempe City Jail where he was booked and released pending charges.
