Tempe Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
- A 21-year-old Tempe man was arrested Oct. 6 on the 100 block of West Sixth Street on suspicion of criminal trespassing and criminal damage, according to a police report.
A man entered his neighbor’s apartment through an unlocked door despite being unwelcome, police reported.
The resident asked the man to leave, and, in response, he started cursing at the resident, police said.
The resident felt threatened by the man, and he began to push him out the door of his apartment, according to the police report.
Police said the man then began forcibly hitting the door, which caused the door to abruptly swing open and break a light inside the apartment.
Apartment security called the police, and the resident expressed concern that the man was on drugs or alcohol, police reported.
When police questioned the man, he said he entered the apartment in search of his father, according to the police report.
The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and held to see a judge, police said.
- A 30-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Oct. 5 at the intersection of the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway and State Route 143 on suspicion of narcotics drug, drug paraphernalia and prescription drug possession, according to a police report.
Police reported the woman was driving 10 mph on the freeway before she crashed her car into a barrier dividing the highway.
When police went to assist the woman, they noticed a syringe loaded with heroin on the floor of her car, police said.
They also found a spoon with burn residue, a baggie of heroin and several prescription pills for nausea in her car when they searched it, according to the report.
The woman told police she had gotten the heroin for $80 from someone she did not know, police reported.
She also told them she had injected half of the heroin into her body before leaving the drug dealer’s house, according to the report.
The woman was transported to Tempe City Jail, where she was booked and released pending charges, police said.
