Tempe Police reported the following incidents Monday:

A 31-year-old Tempe man was arrested Oct. 11 on the 1800 block of East Apache Boulevard on suspicion of resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon by a prohibited person, dangerous drug, marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, criminal damage and failure to appear, according to a police report.
Police spotted the man and two others walking in an apartment parking lot and asked the men if they lived there, the report said.
The officer reported immediately recognizing one of the men and knew he had an outstanding warrant.
When the officer tried to pat down the man, he pulled away, police reported.
The officers tackled the man to detain him, but he continued to struggle by pulling his arms and rolling on the ground, police said.
Eventually officers placed him in handcuffs and a background check confirmed he had an outstanding warrant, the report said.
Officers found an empty small-caliber handgun in his front waistband, crystal methamphetamine in his coin pocket, and a glass pipe and marijuana in his other pockets, according to police.
The man said he was not sure if he had a warrant for his arrest but said he did know he was not allow to have a weapon, police said.
He was taken Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and released pending his drug charges, the report said.

A 19-year-old Tempe man was arrested Oct. 12 at South McClintock and Tempe Marketplace drives on suspicion of narcotic possession for use and sale and drug paraphernalia possession, according to a police report.
The man was seen driving in an area where a burglary had been reported and matched the description given to police, the report said.
The officer followed the man and pulled him over after he failed to properly stop at a crosswalk, the officer reported.
Police reported that during the stop the man gave the officer permission to search his vehicle.
The officer found a silver electric scale with black tar residue on it in the driver side door and another scale in the center console, according to the report.
Also inside the car was the man’s wallet, where the officer found tin foil, a razor blade and two 2-by-2-inch bags that contained prescription drugs, the report said.
The man was placed under arrest and during a search the officer found he was concealing about 10 grams of heroine, police reported.
The man’s phone and cash were seized as evidence of the sales, the report said.
He was booked and released pending charges, according to the report.
