Tempe Police reported the following incidents Wednesday:
- A 22-year-old Chandler woman was arrested Oct. 22 at South College Avenue and East Sixth Street on suspicion of narcotic drug possession and use, bringing contraband items into the jail, dangerous drug possession and use, false report to police, drug paraphernalia possession and an outstanding warrant, according to a police report.
Police officers saw the woman throw something at a man and then hit him in front of the CVS on Mill Avenue and University Drive, police said.
The woman then rode away on her bike before officers could speak with her, according to the report.
Officers later found the woman where they stopped her and asked her for her name, age and date of birth, police said.
Police reported that the date of birth the woman provided would make her older than the age she gave them, but she insisted that the information was correct.
Eventually she gave police her real name and date of birth, which led them to find the outstanding warrant from Chandler, police said.
The woman told police she had a syringe in her backpack, and when she went to show officers the syringe, they found three other syringes filled with heroin, according to the police report.
Police said she also told officers that she had done heroin yesterday but was unsure if she used the syringes in her bag.
The woman said the syringes belonged to her but the heroin inside them was not hers, police reported.
Before taking the woman into Tempe City Jail, officers asked her twice if she had any other drugs with her, and each time she told officers she did not, according to the report.
When the woman was later searched, they found a bag with a usable quantity of meth in her vagina, police said.
The woman was booked into Tempe City Jail where she was held, according to the report.
- A 22-year-old Glendale man was arrested Oct. 17 in the 800 block of South Mill Avenue on suspicion of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession and use, according to a police report.
Police saw two men inspecting a cigar, but when the police approached the men, they became extremely nervous and attempted to hide it in his pocket, police said.
The police officer thought that the cigar was filled with marijuana, which led the officer to speak with them, according to the report.
Police reported the man said he did not have any marijuana on him, but officers found a bag of marijuana on the man.
The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and released pending charges, according to the report.
