Officers responded to a loud party complaint, the report said.
After clearing the party, an officer noticed a white PT Cruiser parked in the back of the house, according to police.
The officer contacted the driver, who appeared very slow and confused, police said.
The officer detained the man and reported that he had a strong odor of marijuana.
While searching the vehicle, the officer found a black backpack containing marijuana, black tar heroin, a digital scale and Xanax, the report said.
Police reported that a loaded handgun was under the driver’s seat.
The man was transported to Tempe City Jail, where he was booked and released pending charges, according to police.
- A 26-year-old Tempe man was arrested Oct. 19 at East Fifth Street and South Mill Avenue on suspicion of being a fugitive from justice, according to a police report.
Police saw the man walking with a group of people who appeared to be between the ages of 18 and 20 years old, the report said.
An officer reported the man was seen drinking something out of a Mountain Dew soda bottle that appeared to be gold and foamy, which is consistent with the look of beer, police said.
The officer thought the man might be underage because of the appearance of the group with whom he was, police reported.
The officer contacted the man, and during a background check, they found he had an outstanding warrant from the Department of Corrections for a parole violation, according to police.
The man was arrested and booked into Tempe City Jail, the report said.
