Tempe Police reported the following incidents Thursday:
- A 23-year-old Tempe woman was arrested Oct. 31 on the 1000 block of East Lemon Street on suspicion of impersonating a peace officer, according to a police report.
The woman approached two homeless men who were arguing in a parking lot and said she was a federal agent, police said.
Police reported the woman was holding a black handgun pointing at the ground when she approached the men.
She told the men that if they did not leave the parking lot they would be arrested, according to the report.
The woman then left the area in her car, but she later told police that she had confronted the men, but she had not identified herself as a peace officer, police reported.
The woman was transported to Tempe City Jail where she was booked, according to the report.
- A 25-year-old Tempe man was arrested Oct. 31 on the 1300 block of West University Drive on suspicion of disorderly conduct, according to a police report.
The man got into an argument with a neighbor and fired a handgun three times into the air, police said.
Police reported that when they went to talk to the man he tried to run away through the back door of his home.
Eventually, police caught up with the man and told him he was under arrest, which caused the man to tense up and try and put his hands under his body to avoid being handcuffed, according to the report.

Police said the man had a .22 caliber semi-automatic Smith & Wesson gun in his bedroom.
