ASU sports clubs will receive the full funding allowed from the Tempe Undergraduate Student Government allowing for more students to be involved and more activities to take place.

Tempe USG passed the Student Appropriations Budget for the 2014-15 school year while also agreeing upon allocating $100,000 to student sports clubs and freeing up $6,500 for student emergency services during the third regular session of the year.

Senator Daniel Martin announced two bills to approve changes to the Tempe USG bylaws.

Senate Bill 34, The Title 1 Bylaws Changes Act passed legislation, and is the first of seven bills that will be introduced each meeting and will address each section of the bylaws until they are free of any errors.

Senate Bill 35, The Amendment for Change Act, which passed unanimously, will allow the senate to change the bylaws and will make any changes apply to the current senate.

“There currently aren’t any rules to change the bylaws and this will allow us to fix them and apply them appropriately,” Martin said.

President Cassidy Possehl said her team has been working on voter outreach and has been looking into some health and wellness events, particularly centered around sexual safety.
