Tempe Police: Man caught crossing light rail tracks, hides meth in his shoe

Tempe Police reported the following incident Monday: 

A Tempe man was arrested Oct. 20 at East Apache Boulevard and South Martin Lane on suspicion of having an outstanding warrant and possessing dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to a police report. 

Police contacted the man after seeing him cross the street without using a crosswalk and then crossing the light rail tracks, police reported. Officers then transported the man to Tempe City Jail, according to the report. 

During a search, police found a meth in the man's shoe under his heel, police reported. 

The man was booked and held to see a judge, according to the report.
