ASU senior guard Remy Martin (1) calls a play against UA at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe, on Thursday, January 21, 2021. ASU lost 84-82.

Former ASU men's basketball guard Remy Martin committed to Kansas for the 2021-22 college basketball season, according to Jon Rothstein of College Hoops Today, who Martin told the news on Monday.

Martin, who will still remain in the NBA Draft process, initially announced his departure from ASU on May 6 and later entered the transfer portal on May 11.

Although he isn't currently projected by any major mock draft site to be selected in either round of the 2021 NBA Draft, Martin's decision gives him the chance to test out the draft process while retaining the ability to play one last season of college basketball if he wants to delay his professional career.

Martin finished his Sun Devil career sixth on ASU's all-time scoring list at 1,754 points and third on the program's all-time assists list with 466. He also finished his ASU career with averages of 14.9 points, 3.9 assists and three rebounds per game.

The guard compiled a number of awards during his four seasons in Tempe. Martin won the Pac-12 Co-Sixth Man of the Year award in the 2017-18 season as a freshman. He also earned All-Pac-12 Second Team honors in the 2018-19 season and All-Pac-12 First Team honors in both the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.

The guard had several memorable moments during his time in a Sun Devil jersey, including putting up 21 points as a freshman in a road victory against his new school in 2017. The following year, Martin scored 10 points in another ASU victory over Kansas in Tempe.
