Jevin Hodge resigned from the Arizona House of Representatives less than two months after he was appointed to take the Legislative District 8 seat, which represents the area including ASU's Tempe campus.

Hodge gave his resignation to Arizona House Democrats a day after an article released by The Arizona Republic which reported that during his time at George Washington University, he was found in violation of sexual violence and sexual misconduct policies.

"We have accepted Representative Hodge's resignation, which he offered in good faith and out of respect for our caucus, and we are prepared to move forward with the important business of the state," said Arizona House Democratic Leader Lupe Contreras in a press release this morning.

The resignation also comes after Hodge canceled his appearance at last night's USG-Downtown "Dinner with your Representatives."
