As transfer portal chaos began Friday morning, Chris Hummer of 247Sports reported that redshirt junior running back Raleek Brown would be entering the transfer portal.

Brown transferred to ASU from USC ahead of the 2024 season. After spending his first three seasons in college as a backup, Brown took over the starting job in 2025 and impressed. He finished the season earning First Team All-Big 12 honors with 1,380 total yards and six total touchdowns. Brown will now look at options around the country to find his next school.

New contender to land Sam Leavitt emerges

By Alex Swift | January 2, 2026

With the transfer portal opening and redshirt sophomore quarterback Sam Leavitt officially entering, On3 reported that he entered with a no-contact tag, meaning only Leavitt could begin contact with schools.

Leavitt has been rumored to join many top programs, but according to On3, another team has emerged as a potential landing spot for the playmaker: Kentucky. The Wildcats finished the 2025 season with a 5-7 record, with current Oregon offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Will Stein being named Kentucky's head coach in December.
