On Tuesday, 71 of the 72 protesters arrested for the pro-Palestine encampment on April 26 and 27 faced no charges at their arraignment hearing. They may have to wait up to a full year to receive charges as the ASU Police Department failed to meet the 1:30 p.m. deadline to submit information on Tuesday.

Former ASU postdoctoral researcher Jonathan Yudelman resigned from his position before being identified in a viral video physically and verbally intimidating two people at a pro-Israel rally, according to an ASU spokesperson. Today, the president of ASU stated Yudelman is banned from campus and teaching classes. His resignation — submitted prior to May 5 — from his position at the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership would have been effective on June 30.

All 20 of the students who were arrested at a pro-Palestine protest on April 26 and 27 have filed a lawsuit against the Arizona Board of Regents for infringing upon their freedom of speech. The group hopes to receive a preliminary injunction from the court, which would temporarily remove the suspension placed on the students so they would be able to complete outstanding assignments and finals.
