Whether you have that special someone or you consider Valentine’s Day to be just another day of the week, you cannot deny that something is in the air...and in our case, it’s these hearts! I happened to stumble across this idea, originally done by Martha Stewart not too long ago and decided to try it out. This craft is the perfect addition to any room in your house (apartment, dorm, etc.) that is flooded with too much light because these hearts just soak up the sunlight and illuminate the whole room.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, it’s time to start thinking about creative gift ideas for your significant other! I’m not really into giving or receiving big gifts on this holiday, but the one thing that I think can speak volumes is a handmade card. Have a bunch of empty glass bottles you don’t know what to do with? Sounds like it must be time for a craft! Whenever I have a bunch of random objects that I can’t seem to find a use for, I try and turn this so-called ordinary “trash” into craft treasure. With glass bottles, I have made lights and all sorts of other decorations, but I think the best crafts I’ve made with bottles are decoupaged vases. With that in mind, here’s a short tutorial that’s easy to follow to create a lovely vase!

As I love to make collages and create mixed media designs, the day I found out what decoupage was felt like a spiritual experience. Perhaps, even similar to finding God. It basically took all of my collages and other crafts to a whole other level that I never even knew possible.

I used to always want a plain white pair of canvas shoes. Now, I know that sounds fairly dull, but new white shoes just have a sort of luster like that of gleaming pearly whites. Despite my desire to buy a pair, these shoes are highly impractical because of how fast they get dirty. For a while, I tried to think of a way that I could prevent or at least hide this high wear-to-dirty ratio, but the only thought reoccurring in my head was strictly logical: just don’t walk through mud. However, when thinking crafty, there is a seemingly infinite pool of choices you can do to keep your shoes looking clean and fly, as well as just plain awesome. Here’s a few ideas:
