The usual charges of favoritism by referees and the media as well as the ignorant accusation that Duke is an “all-white” team, this year not withstanding, will be voiced loudly by people who need someone to hate.

The No. 4 ASU club lacrosse team lost to No. 1 Michigan 11-10 at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium Wednesday.
Michigan outshot ASU 46-27, but the Sun Devils were able to keep it close as ASU matched the Wolverines in goals scored in every quarter except the first.
Junior attacker Eric Nelson led the way for ASU with three goals, and junior midfielder Anthony LaFlam, freshman attacker James Reap and senior attacker Tyler Westfall each had two goals.
Freshman goaltender Dylan Westfall made 18 saves on 29 shots for a .621 save percentage.

Former ASU graduate assistant Trent Bray has been hired as the linebackers coach. Bray served as a graduate assistant for the linebackers/defense in 2007 and 2008. He spent 2009 as an assistant coach for the California Redwoods of the United Football League.

With ASU set to face off against USC and UCLA this weekend at Wells Fargo Arena, the general consensus both inside the locker room and from the standpoint of the casual observer is that the Sun Devils have to win both games to even be considered for a potential at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament should they not win the Pac-10 Tournament and earn an automatic berth.
