ASU football received a commitment from 2016 tight end prospect Darel Middleton, according to an announcement Middleton made on Twitter.

ASU's 2016 recruiting class now stands at nine after Middleton announced his intentions to become a Sun Devil. He is the first tight end in this recruiting class.The 6-foot-6, 230-pound tight end is a three-star prospect according to Rivals and 24/7 Sports out of Oak Ridge, Tenn.
Middleton is highly touted out of Oak Ridge High School, earning offers from Alabama, Kentucky, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Tennessee.

Other commits to the class of 2016 are athlete/wide receiver Jeremy Smith, defensive back J'Marcus Rhodes, defensive back DJ Morgan, defensive end Christian Hill, running back Tre Turner, running back Freddie Holly, offensive lineman Marshal Nathe and offensive lineman Cohl Cabral.
