ASU freshman Linnea Strom assesses her putt on the ninth hole on Friday, April 8, 2016 during the 2016 Ping ASU Invitational at Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Arizona.

The No. 4 ASU women’s golf team finished third in the Mason Rudolph Women’s Invitational in Franklin, Tennessee on Sunday with a 25-under par on the scorecard.

The Sun Devils finished the tournament shooting 839 (-25) as a team.

Their weekend performance tied the program record for the lowest 54-hole scores under par, a mark previously set at last season’s PING/ASU Invitational.

In the team's first tournament of the fall season, junior Linnea Strom had her tenth top-10 finish of her ASU career.

"Today we didn't play our best, but this is a good start to our year with a third-place finish in a strong field," head coach Missy Farr-Kaye said in an interview with Sun Devil Athletics. "We have a few things to work on to be ready to leave for Chicago in two weeks. Linnea and Robi led the team well with top-10 finishes."

Strom was in contention all three days as she continued to move up on the leaderboard. Her 10-under par performance placed her tied for fourth in the tournament.

All five of the Sun Devils finished in the top half of the leaderboard. Senior Roberta Liti finished tied for eighth (-6), junior Madison Kerley finished tied for 22nd (-3), sophomore Olivia Mehaffey finished tied for 30th (-2) and freshman Raquel Olmos Ros finished tied for 37th (+1).

ASU is not the only Pac-12 team nationally ranked by Golfweek.com. Others include UCLA (1), Stanford (2), USC (10), Arizona (14), California (22) and Washington (28).

The Sun Devils will have some time off before their next tournament at the Windy City Collegiate Classic, in Highland Park, Illinois (Oct. 2-3) hosted by Northwestern University.
