Attending football games has recently become easier for students at the Polytechnic campus.
Wristbands, part of a new program to reduce overcrowding in the student section, will be available for the first time at the Polytechnic campus bookstore this Friday from noon to 5 p.m.
The wristbands are offered "to create equal access to all ASU students," said Emily Thoma, coordinator of operations and facilities for the Student Union at the Polytechnic campus. "All students want the same treatment."
The wristbands were made available after a student petitioned for Polytechnic campus students to have equal access to the football games.
"[Offering wristbands] is a good idea for those students who don't want to show up so early for the games," said Kyle Gallmeister, a junior professional flight major.
Students may still pick up their wristband at the Wells Fargo Arena Friday evening or Saturday morning at the Tempe campus.
Season tickets are also available from the Polytechnic bookstore, but individual game tickets must be purchased at ASU's ticket office.
The Polytechnic campus also offers free shuttle service to this weekend's game.
The shuttle is offered to all students, faculty and staff, and leaves the Student Union at 11 a.m. Saturday morning. It picks up students shortly after the game ends.
"It [the free shuttle] is cool for kids at Polytechnic who want to go to the games," Gallmeister said.
