Palestinian participant
My name is Saiaf Abdallah, and I was a volunteer for the Apartheid Wall Week.
In directing the play performed on Hayden Lawn I can fairly say that I am proud of the results. The checkpoint reminded and informed people of the harsh realities Palestinians face on a daily basis. It is well known that Palestinians wait for well over seven hours a day at a checkpoint in order to get to and from Palestine. Palestinians receive less food and water than Israelis do, and unlike Israelis, have limited access to that supply. These facts in no way represent anti-Semitism or hate, but rather shed light on the prejudices set against the Palestinians.
Saiaf Abdallah Undergraduate Howling for the Coyotes
Being from Buffalo, I know but you may not, playoff hockey is coming to the Valley. If the Olympics taught us anything, you should look to tune in. I know Phoenix doesn’t have Sid the Kid, Alex O, or the great Ryan Miller but in one season and a couple of trade deadline deals, new coach Dave Tippett has got himself a team.
Backed by Russian Olympic goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov, this team should make some noise in the Stanley Cup tournament this year keeping hockey buzzing, hopefully into our triple digit days. ...
I know Glendale may be far and I know this team hasn’t done much since the days of Roenick and Tkachuk back in ’99, but what better way to beat the heat than to head to the nice cold rink at Jobing.com or sit on your duff in the A/C at home? Watch the Suns? Same old story there.
Ride the wave that the Olympics started and watch your Coyotes do some damage.
