Letters: Sept. 21

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE GAMES

(In response to the Sept 20 letter to the editor.)

As a longtime PC gamer — I’d like to say that it’s gotten less about hardware the past few years, thankfully, and more about the game experience, solo and multiplayer.

For those of us who don’t play shooters, PC gaming offers, well, everything else in games: strategy, MMOs, social gaming, adventures, roleplaying games and puzzle games.

Most of my students are FPS console gamers — but the average gamer these days is 15-20 years older, and with a lifestyle much more suited to PC gaming than console gaming.

But apparently it’s all in who your friends are.
