AND THEY’RE OFF…
The Undergraduate Student Government is off to a strong start this semester in several of our initiatives. So far, USG and ASA have registered more than 1,000 students to vote. This work is critical to ensuring students have a voice at all levels of government.
So if you see one of us on campus registering students to vote, take a second to stop by and fill out a voter registration form. It takes just a moment, but its impact has a lasting and powerful affect.
And if you’re already registered, double check that you are registered at your current address- this is important to making sure your registration is up-to-date and you won’t have any problems voting.

GOOD CATCH
(In response to Shawn Raymundo’s Sept. 27 article, “Police arrest suspected bike theif.”)
I’d like to thank The State Press for publishing a story about the capture of the suspected bicycle thief.
People who ride bicycles presumably do so because they cannot afford other means of transportation. They spend so much on school that they can’t pay for gas.
Preying on these people is utterly sick. I was glad to see the suspect’s face on the front page yesterday and I hope he will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Please keep readers informed on this story and others like it, and help prevent others from following the thief’s petty example.
