ASU President Michael Crow spoke Tuesday evening about tuition, research and his leadership as part of a lecture on the future of ASU and higher education. Crow also responded to questions about online learning and making college more accessible to future students.
The event -- “2013 and Beyond: Where do we go from here?” -- was streamed live online from the Tempe Center for the Arts by the ASU Foundation. The full video will be available in the next few days, according the ASU Foundation.
Crow addressed the growing popularity of online and hybrid courses among universities in the nation and how they will add to the way students learn.
“They will augment it, empower it," Crow said.
Crow also explained the importance of studying how everything in the universe works and operates by bringing research opportunities to the University.
“The second reason why we have research is to enhance our educational outcomes of our students," Crow said.
